Software For Managing Coworking Spaces

Posted in software by Erik on February 27, 2010

Cobot, from Upstream – Agile, has been receiving ink from the technology and startup community for the last week. It is essentially a platform for managing a coworking space. Allowing coworkers and facilities to automate tasks like repairs and space reservation.

By extension, I also discovered Divvy this week. Not unlike Cobot, Divvy is a management platform for shared resources. While they do have a whole page dedicated to coworking, their platform is much more generic and can be used for pretty much anything.

I wonder if these high-tech/low-touch ways of interacting with the community negatively impacts said community or if it simply reduces friction in the mundane tasks? Would love your thoughts.
